Acrylic Impact Modifier, also known as AIM or PVC Impact Modifier, is widely used in rigid PVC formulations to improve impact strength, toughness and long-term durability.

VIKEM Acrylic Impact Modifier series, including KRT-22, KRT-40 and KRT-50, is designed for opaque rigid PVC products such as PVC profiles, sheets, boards, pipes and pipe fittings. With a core-shell acrylic structure, it helps PVC products achieve better shock resistance, low-temperature impact performance and outdoor weatherability.

For many PVC manufacturers, impact resistance is not only about lab data. It directly affects cracking resistance, surface quality, production stability and product performance during transportation, installation and daily use. VIKEM Acrylic Impact Modifier can also help improve surface gloss and support a wider processing range, especially in high-speed extrusion.

Compared with traditional impact modifiers, acrylic impact modifiers are often preferred for outdoor PVC applications where weather resistance, rigidity and appearance are important. The typical recommended dosage is around 5–9 phr, depending on the formulation and final product requirements.
